All Star
All Star “A” Soccer is the highest level of soccer offered in the Mount Pearl Soccer Association (MPSA). It is meant for
the “serious” and “competitive” soccer player that has a goal of playing at a highly competitive level and developing their skills to prepare them to play on a Provincial or higher level team. The amount of time and dedication required to play at this level is significant and requires the player to commit to practicing or playing as much as 4-5 times per week year round. The Mount Pearl All Star soccer program strives to be the best it can be and to provide a positive environment for players to develop their skills and play at an elite level within the Province and Country. The Mount Pearl All Star program trains year round and is considered one of the top programs in the Province. The success of the Mount Pearl Soccer Association All Star Program is not only shown on the field through its many Provincial titles, but also through its players that continue on to play at the CSA National and Regional Training Centers, Universities throughout Canada and the United States and in various Senior Soccer Leagues such as the Challenge Cup League and Jubilee Trophy League.
The Mount Pearl Soccer Association All Star program is comprised of about 20 All Star teams
from ages of U10 to U18 in both the boys and girls divisions. The Mount Pearl All Star program is over seen by an experienced All Star Program Director and Technical Director that reports to the Mount Pearl Soccer Association Executive Board. The teams are coached by highly skilled and certified coaches and trainers that are supported by experienced volunteers.
The MPSA All Star Program is a branch of the Mount Pearl Soccer Association that also offers recreational programs and other levels of All Star play. Players that excel at the recreational level and have the “desire” and “ambition” to take their game to the next level would do so by attending an open All Star “A” try-out that takes place each fall at the end of the regular outdoor summer season.
